Once again Banks Peninsula will play host to the Akaroa French Fest in 2015. This biennial festival will take place on the weekend of Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October and promises more Frenchness than ever before!
We're busy planning the festival programme which will be full to the brim with crème de la crème events, activities, entertainment, food, wine and much, much more.
This year Akaroa celebrates 175 years of the first organised European settlement in August 1840. This will be celebrated at French Festival with an emphasis on the historical element of the town.
French Fest 2015 is proud to announce a partnership with Beca Heritage Week. French Fest will become one of the key events on the Heritage Week calendar which also boasts a number of talks, walks, exhibitions, open days, tours and much more between 9 to 26 October.
Keep an eye on the French Fest and Beca Heritage Week websites for more information in the coming months. Until then, á bientôt!
