Once again Banks Peninsula will play host to the Akaroa French Fest in 2015. This biennial festival will take place on the weekend of Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October and promises more Frenchness than ever before!
We're busy planning the festival programme which will include a street party, market and game days, Caberet show and fireworks over an exciting three days.
This year it's fitting that the festival has an emphasis on the historical element of the Akaroa, as we celebrate the 175th anniversary of the first organised European settlement in August 1840.
French Fest 2015 is proud to announce a partnership with Beca Heritage Week. French Fest will become one of the key events on the Heritage Week calendar which also boasts a number of talks, walks, exhibitions, open days, tours and much more between 9 to 26 October.
Keep an eye on the French Fest and Beca Heritage Week websites for more information in the coming months. Until then, á bientôt!
